Founded in 2018 by entrepreneur Raj Selvaraj, PIZZA KARMA was built on a simple belief: great food brings people together, and the best flavors often come from unexpected places.
Raj imagined a new kind of pizza experience — one where globally inspired ingredients meet the familiar joy of a perfectly baked pie.
A Culinary Partnership
A defining chapter in the PIZZA KARMA story came through collaboration with James Beard award–winning chef and culinary author Raghavan Iyer.
Known globally for his deep knowledge of spices and Indian cuisine, Chef Iyer helped refine the flavor profiles that would become signature elements of the PIZZA KARMA menu.
Together they explored how bold spices, aromatic herbs, and vibrant sauces could harmonize with pizza in ways that felt both exciting and familiar.
The result was a menu that celebrates global inspiration without losing the comfort people love about pizza.

Our Signature Tandoor-Fired Buttermilk Crust.
Inspired by traditional clay tandoor ovens used across South Asia, our pizzas are cooked at extremely high temperatures that create a crust that is:
• perfectly crisp on the outside
• soft and flavorful inside
• lightly smoky and beautifully blistered
The buttermilk in the dough adds richness and depth that makes the crust unforgettable.
